City of Providence

Providence is the largest city in Rhode Island one of the oldest cities in the United States, and currently uses the promotional tagline of “The Creative Capital,” which is most fitting. Providence is considered a culturally progressive city — enhanced by some of the best educational institutions in the United States with top-tier schools such as Brown University, Providence College and Rhode Island School of Design. It is a historic area with many century-old homes in neighborhoods such as College Hill that coexist next to small urban city developments. Restaurants are abundant in the Federal Hill section and neighborhoods are buzzing with activities. The City has made an ongoing commitment to the Arts and community as seen in the WaterFire series with its lights and music throughout the tidal basin. Entertainment is abundant through the Providence Performing Arts Center, Providence Children’s Museum, Roger Williams Zoo and others. You can’t help but feel the active and vibrant pulse when in the Providence area.
